Final Team from Imagine Nepal Successfully Summits Everest
Kathmandu, May 24, 2025 — The final expedition team of the season from Imagine Nepal successfully reached the summit of Mount Everest (8,848.86 meters) on Saturday morning, May 24, 2025. The group of 20 climbers—comprising 9 Chinese mountaineers and 11 Sherpa climbers—reached the top of the world between 1:50 AM and 6:15 AM NPT.
The summit push was originally scheduled for May 23 but was delayed due to high winds. The team was forced to retreat and spend an additional night at Camp IV before making their successful ascent the following morning.

Everest 2025 team
This marks the final summit wave for Imagine Nepal’s Everest South Expeditions this spring season.
Earlier this season, on May 19, 2025, American climber James Owen Coleman successfully summited alongside Lopsang Sherpa and Dawa Sonam Sherpa.
The first successful summit of the season took place on May 14, 2025, when a team of 10 Chinese climbers and 16 Sherpas from Imagine Nepal reached the peak, just days after the summit route was opened on May 9, 2025. In total, 20 international climbers reached the summit of Everest this season under the banner of Imagine Nepal, with many Sherpa climbers making double ascents.
