This trek takes you to the base camp of Mount Everest, where you can witness the world’s four tallest peaks – Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho You during the trek. These majestic mountains stand tall against the clear azure sky, creating a mesmerizing view that will stay with you forever.
Overnight at EBC and Optional Hike to Mount Pumori Camp-1.
A highlight of this trek is the optional hike to Mount Pumori Camp I, located just 8 km away from Everest Base Camp. At an elevation of up to 5650 meters, this hike offers a thrilling adventure and a chance to witness the beauty of Everest standing in the middle of Nuptse, Lhotse and Lho la peaks.
But what sets our Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek apart is the opportunity to spend two nights at the Khumbu Icefall and Glaciers base. These natural wonders emerge from the snow slopes, leading through harsh, windswept terrain. As you make your way through the glaciers, you’ll witness the transformation of ice streams into broader rivers surrounded by picturesque landscapes.
Throughout the trek, you’ll encounter Sherpa settlements, where the local people – the sturdy Buddhist hill people of Tibetan stock – preserve a way of life that has changed little over thecenturies. Namche Bazaar, the capital of the Khumbu Valley, is a must-visit. Though now bustling with hotels and tourist shops.
Journey from Kathmandu to Everest Base Camp and Helicopter return
Your journey begins with a thrilling helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, followed by a three-hour trek to Phakding. The route takes you to Namche Bazaar, the Everest View Hotel, the most prominent Buddhist Monastery, and various enchanting locations. As you approach higher altitudes, the trek days become shorter, allowing you to acclimate to the change in elevation.
After trekking through the Rhododendron Forest of Deboche and spending an extra day in Dingboche for acclimatization, you will reach Lobuche, the second last settlement before Everest Base Camp. From here, you will hike to Gorakshep and finally to Kalapathar, where you’ll be at 5550 meters.
The program culminates with a 2 night stay at the tented Everest Expedition Luxury Base Camp, where you can interact with Sherpa mountaineers and immerse yourself in base camp activities. The experience is truly a dream come true for adventure enthusiasts.
On the third day at the base camp, after breakfast, a thrilling helicopter flight awaits you. You will be flown back to Lukla and then back to Kathmandu, ending your incredible journey.
