- 47 Climbers Reach the Roof of the World Over Two Historic Days
We are thrilled to share the latest summit updates from the Imagine Nepal Everest Expedition 2026. Building on the historic first summit achieved on May 13, 2026, when 16 members of our team stood on top of the world, our teams have now achieved remarkable further success over two consecutive days. A total of 47 climbers reached the summit of Mount Everest (8,849 m) on May 21 and May 22, 2026, bringing the expedition’s overall summit total to 63.
Background: The 2026 Season So Far
The 2026 Everest season presented formidable challenges from the outset. A blockage in the Khumbu Icefall threatened to halt the entire season before it had properly begun, and delays in transferring rope and equipment to Camp 2 cost the rope-fixing team some early weather windows. Rather than wait for others to act, Imagine Nepal stepped up at each critical stage.
On May 13, 2026, our inaugural summit push was a landmark moment. Between 9:30 and 11:15 AM Nepal Standard Time, sixteen members of our expedition — six international climbers from Norway, Canada, and China, and ten Sherpas, three of whom served the demanding additional role of summit route fixers — stood on the highest point on Earth. Crucially, Imagine Nepal’s Sherpas fixed the Everest summit route that day, enabling all other teams on the mountain to proceed with their own summit climbs.
Now, with the successful summits of May 21 and 22, the Imagine Nepal Everest Expedition 2026 has firmly cemented its place as one of the most accomplished and well-organized expeditions of the season.

We are immensely proud of all our climbers, guides, and Sherpa teams whose dedication, skill, and perseverance made these summits possible. From the bold initiative shown in breaking the Khumbu Icefall blockage in late April, to the selfless effort of our Sherpas who fixed the summit route on May 13, and through to the extraordinary multi-wave push of May 22 — this expedition has exemplified what it means to climb with purpose, teamwork, and integrity.
A heartfelt congratulations to each and every summiteer who stood on the roof of the world as part of the Imagine Nepal Everest Expedition 2026.
