Dawa Gyalje Sherpa is from Rolwaling, an isolated village in north-central Nepal. He started his career in mountaineering at age 20 on Everest. Dawa’s a highly experienced and certified UIAGM/IFMGA Mountain guide leading international expeditions in Nepal, China/Tibet, and Pakistan.

 Dawa has climbed 12 of the 14 highest peaks in the world, including Everest, 12 times. In addition, he climbed Kilimanjaro, Aconcagua, Elbrus and the Alps in Europe. Apart from climbing renowned mountains, it is his passion to climb and explore the unclimbed mountains of Nepal. In recent years he successfully climbed five 6000 meters of unclimbed peaks. Guiding a 69-year-olddouble amputee Chinese climber to Everest in 2018 and Rustam Nabiev, a Russian climber, to Manaslu in 2021 and reaching the summit of Mt K2 and Broad peak in 11 days has been one of his most notable ascents. In a few years, he is looking forward to climbing Nanga Parbat and Shishapangma, the last two remaining Eight thousand meters and seven summits peaks.
