Ngima Nuru Sherpa A

Ngima Nuru is from Thame, a village near Namche Bazaar, where most of the villagers are involved in mountaineering, working as climbing guides. However, as it’s hard to get a chance for beginners to be a climbing guide on Everest, only in 2000, Ngima got an opportunity to work as a Sherpa on the Everest expedition. Unfortunately, that year Ngima reached camp IV at an elevation of 2900 meters. However, from 2001 till date, he has always attended the summit conquering 24th times in 2022. He is the only Sherpa climber to reach the summit twice in a single season, the maximum number of times. He did the double summits of Everest in 2004, 2006, 2011, 2016 and 2022.
